A stray cat remains nervous around people because it has little human contact in its life for so long. Actually it should be adjusted to living with humans again. Or simply if they have the chance to!
It was reported that there are hundreds of thousands of stray cats in the world, the figure may leap to millions. Some of the stray cats have been abandoned by their owners, while others are those loved pets who got lost out on adventure. If your cats are fond of exploring adventures, it is necessary to microchip them in order to get them back if they got lost someday.
Un-neutered males are always easy to get involved in fights over territory as well as female cats in heat. If the females are not spayed, they would become pregnant quite often in need of a litter of kittens as well as the necessities to clean it up and find shelter daily. If the kittens have no connections with humans, they will become feral and impossible to have a loving home any more once their grow-up cycle continues.
Adopting a stray can be a very rewarding experience, which have been done by millions of people each year.
I adopt a dog last week, I named him Domino. Even though it didn’t have an official owner, it appears not to like at a home and prefers to live on the streets.
Yesterday we took him to the vet to get neutered, so he had to be kept indoors for a few days fro recovery. We imagined that he would go crazy for shutting indoors for days, but we were surprised that we were totally wrong.
He has almost forgotten that he once had a home again after staying with the vets. When we got him settled, he just purred and purred. I’m so happy that we got a so cute dog, at least now he has a loving family.
If you find a stray cat around your house or somewhere else, try to befriend it. Getting on with a dog like Domino is one of the rewarding experiences in my life.
