Recently bosses at the Famous Grouse distillery in Crieff, Perthshire are looking for a replacement to Towser, which has been the worldly record-breaking mouse catcher but died recently.
It will be extreme difficult to follow Towser, not only for his record of clocking up an impressive 30,000 mice in his career also as the world most prolific feline mouse catcher.
Towser’s incredible mousing prowess was proved to be the result of a tiny nip added to his milk each night. But so far but we can’t find scientific proof to back this up. Of course wouldn’t advise this to anyone whose cat has a relatively low performance concerning vermin control.
A statue has been built up over the grounds of the distillery with more than 120,000 visitors each year, and the company is making great efforts to find the replacement for Towser. I am confident that humans will discover the replacement someday.
