Ringworm is considered to be the most highly contagious disease for cat. I think most cat owners have heard of the negative effects of ringworm or have some kinds of experiences about it.
Ringworm, also known as dermatologists, or tinea is driven by a fungus, actually it has no connections with worms. The infection of this disease leads to irritation and discomfort to the skin, and results in patches of irritation and temporary hair loss. Without appropriate treatment the enduring of such disease can be life threatening, and can’t get through to the full recovery.
The fungus spores can keep existing for months or even a few years in bedding, carpets, toys, grooming equipment, etc. Actually what you or your cat come into contact with may contain spores for a while, and they will harbor there until they are removed or someone comes to contact with them.
