Fleas have been sucking the blood of animals and humans for millions of years, which live on pets, mammals, in sofas as well as other household and farm goods. Almost in each room, 5% of the fleas will be harbored in pets, and 10% live in the carpets. Female Fleas would lay eggs that would turn in to grub-like larvae, which then grow up to pupae and go inside a cocoon. They will suck blood as a host starts his life. When enough heat passes through the pupae, they would come out the cocoon and jump on the animal or human body. This process occurs just in three seconds and jump as what our feet do.
Get rid of fleas with simple methods is quite important because these insects would lead to serious diseases, such as plague, Murine Typhus and Tungiasis. Usually fleas harbored on rats, which carry the bacteria, Yersinia Pestis that casues Bubonic plague. Plague is a fatal disease and spreads widely and quickly. But this disease is completely curable. Murine Typhus is an infection caused by Rickettsia, R. Typhi, which is transmitted by Rat fleas called Xenopsilla Cheopis. Tungiasis is caused by the Chigger flea, Tungia penetrans, which would lead to serious damage to the feet as the female species settle into the feet and breeds there. Their existence under the skin would lead to severe infection and irritation. Fleas also transmit Tularemia and tapeworms to both humans and pets. They also can lead to allergies to both humans and pets.
